Gerald Wililamson                 



Gerald Williamson is a Clinical Psychologist, educationist, researcher and development specialist, who has been extensively, involved with social, education and skills development in South Africa, spanning a period of 20 years.

He has previously headed a range of research endeavors involving government and the private sector. He is an award winning radio talk-show host on social matters with one of the largest radio stations in South Africa (Kaya FM). He is a director of a research, training and development agency, Shaping the Learner and Mr. Williamson has extensive international and national experience in the area of violence prevention, child and youth activities, entrepreneurship and school-based services, gained while serving as coordinator (12 years) for the University Of South Africa (UNISA) Institute for Social and Health Sciences Center for Peace Action, a World Health Organisation Collaborating Center for Injury and Violence Prevention.

He is also specialist in the fields of public relations and networking. Mr. Williamson is also involved in the design, implementation and coordination of development programmes on government and community level.

He has also worked with organisations like The National Institute for Crime Prevention and Reintegration of Offenders (NICRO) in the design of national crime prevention programmes for youth. Gerald has been working with organisations like the Gauteng Department of Education in designing school based programmes, such as "Alternative Methods of Discipline, Barriers to Learning" and many more. He has also been extensively involved in the design of assessment protocols for human potential and has been pivotal in South Africa in academically profiling thousands of individuals.
